The River Inn - Elkton, Oregon is a unique hunting & fishing retreat designed with relaxation in mind. We encourage small church group retreats at reduced prices! The Umpqua River (other Umpqua Pics) below the inn has the best fishing to be found for jack salmon, spring Chinook, fall kings, Coho, winter steelhead, summer steelhead, bass, stripers, shad, and sturgeon. There are beaver, otter, and mink that love photographers. Hunting for turkey, grouse, quail, elk, deer, bear, and cougar is among the best in the state. The River Inn is located near one of the first settlements by the Hudson Bay Company on the West Coast, " Fort Umpqua". River Inn is off the Elkton to Reeds Port 'Highway 38', (mile Post 35) in Elkton on River Road and is a great location for biking, bank and drift fishing, rafting, hiking, swimming, kayaking, blackberry picking, salmon bank fishing, guided and un-guided tours. We have current Umpqua river information, nearby Elkton RV Park, and rooms to relax near the sound of the white water of the fabulous Umpqua River. The Umpqua River Inn - Elkton has rooms that have a river view with a large family suite available with reservation. All central air-conditioned rooms have vaulted ceilings with ceiling fans for ventilation. Other amenities include a reading library with floor to ceiling river view. The Elkton RV Park is just below the River Inn 3 street & River Road. (see pic above)!
The separate Jacuzzi, shower, and toilet area are easily accessible and separated for convenience. Email and computer access, local cuisine (Bakery/restaurants) within walking distance (2 block).
The upper and lower decks are sure to beckon you to slow down and enjoy the view.

Fishing is wonderful in the Elkton area. The pristine Umpqua River is a mere 35 miles from the Ocean and the entire river system is un-industrialized and very clean. Most of the upper Umpqua River is head watered just west of Crater Lake. Fishing includes spring and fall Silver and King (Chinook) salmon runs with most fish averaging 18 - 25 lbs some fish are over 50 Lbs. Winter and Summer Steel-Head are fabulous fighters.
The Inn is within 300 feet of the river situated just above two RV parks. Blackberry picking is wonderful at the end of July. Berries are so big that 8 berries make a dozen. You finally have a place for your friends to stay and play. Other activities include:
Hunting-- Elk, deer, bear, cougar, grouse, turkey, quail.
Rafting- Mt. Biking - Hiking, Bird watching, Photography- and just relaxation. Elkton has 3 wineries - a market, bakery and 2 restaurants. Both restaurants are exceptional. People come from miles around to eat at Tomicelli's and Arlene's Restaurant in Elkton.
